    Thanks, very informative article and a great reminder of why it is important that citizens remain engaged and vigilante about what governments can do, if left unchecked in the digital space. Cameroon being the latest example.

    One minor correction, the internet shutdown in Cameroon is in the North West and South West English speaking provinces of Cameroon. The capital of these provinces are Bamenda and Buea respectively. Yaounde the capital of Cameroon located in French (East) Cameroon is not affected.
