Unfortunately the list from the DHET Facebook page is very much out of date.
Here are the three lists of Accredited education providers from the DHET (Department of Higher Education and Training): http://www.dhet.gov.za/SitePages/DocRegisters.aspx
These lists shows you who are accredited by:
The CHE (Council on Higher Education), http://www.dhet.gov.za/Registers_DocLib/REGISTER OF PRIVATE HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS 13December 16.pdf
The QCTO (Quality Council for Trades and Occupations) http://www.dhet.gov.za/Registers_DocLib/Accredited Skills Development Providers Updated 03 October 2016.pdf
Private Colleges Accredited by Umalusi. http://www.dhet.gov.za/Registers_DocLib/Register of Private Colleges (08%20December%202016).pdf
What you cannot see on these lists are the thousands of education providers accredited by the 21 SETAs you will find listed here: http://www.economic.gov.za/entities-external-links/list-of-setas
That is why we give such extensive information about Skills Academy on our website here: http://www.skillsacademy.co.za/accreditation/
To be really sure, learners need to ask the training institution:
For example, DHET cannot tell you if a college is accredited by FASSET (the SETA for Finance, Accounting, Management Consulting and other Financial Services)
